Vision Statement
DeSoto Private School has a passionate commitment to fostering and promoting the academic, social, and emotional growth of each child by providing an educational experience enhanced with opportunities for character development, leadership, teamwork, and discovery. Our staff celebrates the unique talents and gifts of each child that walks through our doors, and we endeavor to be sensitive to the needs of each special family. Through our guidance, understanding, and discipline, we strive to encourage feelings of self worth and personal dignity in all our students so that this positive spirit may ensure them a bright future.8 basic core beliefs that were the basis for forming our Mission Statement.

  1. Every child can learn.
  2. All children need love, nurturing, and stability.
  3. The child’s educational needs change as society and technology change.
  4. Schools must continuously improve curriculum and facilities, and provide opportunities for staff development in order to meet the changing needs of the child.
  5. The education of the total child should be the focal point of every school where academics, physical activities, and character-building are uniquely intertwined.
  6. A school should recognize and accommodate the unique learning styles and talents of each child by promoting excellence and innovation in learning.
  7. A child’s self-esteem should be enhanced by building positive relationships between student and staff, yet it should be balanced with expectations of personal responsibility and accountability.
  8. Children should be given educational and personal tools to enable them to become mature, responsible citizens and independent life-long learners who make a positive impact on society.
